I had a great day on the lake today. I caught 30- 35 crappie and kept a limit (20) of good ones and most of them was because of this guy. There is something they like about that feather tail. It might be the feather and hackle makes for a slower fall which is a must, but harder to cast. I will have plenty of them made for tomorrow.
It ain't nuttin but luck.

Looks good. Hackle tails just work and that is all their is to that. Lots of fish caught on hackle tails.

Nice jig, if it's a 1/16 or 1/32 that hackle collar will slow it's fall (exactly what it does in fly tying).

1/16 oz I couldnt cast a 1/32 far enough to get to the sweet spot. If I put on a split shot then it sank to fast.Originally Posted by OKSTATEjiggy
