Placed an order for jig eyes, prism tape, and plastic grubs 9 days ago and still haven't recieved my order. I know it should be here today or tomorrow, but I expected better service than that.
Is this typical with this company? Has anyone had better or worse service from Barlows?
I doubt I'll be a returning customer.

i put a order over 600 bucks..and had it in 4 days...never that long they are good, i would at least call them and ask them when it shipped

crazyangler is the same way will have it in 4 days and you order enough you get some free goodies also...very nice to deal with..
I have ordered a lot of times from them, but it has not been so much the last 2 years as I mostly order from other places. However not knowing if things changed or not I can tell you usually I had good service from them.
I am just as happy with the service from Bob Marriott's too, but my last order did take longer than I expected, but also think part was my fault because I knew there was a couple things that they didn't have in stock, but were expecting soon and I wanted it all. So it took longer than I expected, but they were waiting on things to come in. Now If I was in a hurry and told them no, send what you have it would have been different. Since my order was over $100 shipping is free and I did make sure this would apply to this order so that is why I think they held off shipping.
Both of the business have always had good service IMHO, but I also know that things can happen to make them look slower than they need be.
Crazy Angler also has showed to have great service, but if I tell him to hold off until he gets something I want then it's totally on me as to when I get it. I know anything I want that he has comes fast.
So in short I wouldn't chop off any of these places because of one order that may have taken a little longer than I hopped for. I know that most of my orders I would rather them hold it for a few days if that means they will be able to fill it all. Even so I want my stuff as fast as I can get it if it's a hot need and then I would just tell them please don't hold any of this waiting for things to come in as long as it's something I don't need right now.
I also know Danville has great service, but when their orders get backed up a bit, the stuff will not be fast. Like right now they are running 3-4 weeks behind, but when they are caught up you get your order very fast.
I guess it's just something we need to ask if we really need something really bad??? If we need it bad enough are we willing to pay for shipping them separate? I mean if you are ordering things I would think you need or want it all???
Just the way I look at this stuff so don't take it to heart and it's just what I think about service and sometimes them holding off sending it will help save me a few bucks on shipping then I would also call that good service. Some will just send what they have and you would have to re-order the tings they didn't have at that moment.

yes it takes about that long for me to receive my orders from them. we've had no problems with them at all I would make contact like suggested above to see what they say to you but they are real reliable.

I was by there last week and they had a help wanted sign posted on the door. Bob retired a few weeks ago so they are having to cover the walk-in traffic from folks in the back where online orders are processed.
Just think it be a temporary problem with staff shortage as Barlows has always had great service in the 32 years I have shopped there.
