there's always the trusty Bic",and Zippo!"just be careful to make sure the jig head remains in the (Blue") flamer or discoloring will occur to your paint from burning in the (Orange") flame being too hot.

I just use a propane torch with a 16 oz bottle. It will stand up on its own. Grab the jighead by the eye and pass quickly 3 or 4 times thru the flame and dip. Tap off excess & bake to cure. Eye stays clean.

I use a candle because I have not found an alcohol burner yet. If I was gonna do a lot of jigs all the time I would get a toaster oven and a large fluid bed so I could heat and dip up to 200 jigs at a time or dip a lot of smaller racks at the same time.

Supposedly a good working fluid bed will not plug the eye of even the smallest hooks. Larger hooks I knw this works but I have not had much luck with really small hooks not getting plugged. I think if I ever did it large scale I would feed a light wire through the eyes of the hooks to keep them clear.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

Alcohol burner with denatured alcohol, clean burning, no soot and no noise.

Try Barlow's Tackle for one. Not what I would call really quality, but have used mine for about 4 years now and I like it. Not sure why it cost even this much, but it works very well.

I have bought two other alcohol that were better quality for no more than this, but one was too small and had a small wick which made for a small flame and I like the size of this one best.

If you should want a link to the all metal one that is smaller just tell me and I will find it for you.

Heat gun for me! I built a stand to lay the gun down on. Merely switch
on (lo heat). hold the jig in front of it for a few seconds, swish thru
powder paint, hold up to gun again for aa few seconds. Done!

    Default heating jig

a heat gun is the only way to go they are very inexpensive. I bought a multiple setting heat gun a about $54. you can buy them cheaper but they do work good. and you can buy them at Wal-Mart or any of your automotive stores or any hardware store. once you start using one you'll never use anything else for jigs my heat gun is a Wagner.

Well Bob I hate to even say this, but I paint on an antique table that came over from Europe any years ago (like over 250 years old) and if I was using a heat gun and accidentally knocked it over and made a mark on that table I would never forgive my self. So I sue the alcohol lamp as it has no wires for me to catch things on ad turn over, LOL! If I was using some piece of crud table to paint on then I may use a heat gun too, but I kind of doubt it since I have got so use to it now. I feel sure my mother would turn over in her grave and maybe even come back to visit me if I messed this table up, LOL!

If I had the chance to get anything close to what it's worth I would sell it and the buffet that it comes with. I may even include the hutch/china cabinet that has a hand painting on the front of it, but not sure about that one.

Sometimes we each have reasons of things we do that don't really make all things equal for our reasons.
