Thread: Anything going on in Iowa Rite now

Hello RBeav, Live on pool 16. Fishing was good on pool 17 when the river was behaving, but thats not happening. Pool 16 has been a bust for me. Off the last two weeks of August. Hope the river settles down and I can fish it. Good fishin to all. Grumpy.

Hey Grumpy Thanks fo rthe update picked up a few whites today on Five Island will try it this weekend and see what happens with the weather cooling off alittle. Good luck and keep in touch

Took grand daughter to the Big Timber last week and caught literally a 100 crappie from 7 to 10 inches. It was great for her but a little disappointing if you want to eat fish. Cleaning the skinny river fish was more like surgery than filleting. The river looks good, I can see three wingdams from my house and there have been boats on them all week. Not sure if there catching but they there all day long. Good luck at Tuttle.

Neve made it to Tuttle Got called into work (hate it when that happens) Fished Clear lake yesterday and today. I caught 8 Crappie all small which is reall cool when I was little that lake was full of Crappie but they have been gone for years now. Finally starting to come back. I released them all but did keep 25 nice Yellow bass and a couple of good 15 inch walleyes. Was a good weekend as any are when we are on the water.

Hit Clear lake again Sunday morning No crappie but hit the Yellows hard and a bonus of 4 walleye. Fished from 7 a.m. till 11:30 and was non stop action

hey i am new here so pardon my interuption just kidding lake rathbun we have a small group and we are trying to get a crappie club going and we had our first tournament on sunday 9/18 anyway it was a rainny cold day and most of the 5 teams came in early to weigh but just thought I'd post the figures here to give you an idea whats coming out of the lake right now 1st 7.25lbs 2nd 5.08lbs 3rd 3.52lbs 4th 2.55lbs 5th 2.5lbs oh ya almost forgot 5 fish wieght sorry no pics i forgot my camera but hopefully will get some up after the nexted one on oct 9th
