My boat,MY way,...

Well,...here I go changin my mind again, but not so quick. I found out from another Lund dealer that if I choose the Mercury outboard,it will add $200
to the cost of the boat, motor, trailer outfit over the Yamaha. I am thinking
I should save the $200 bucks and go with a motor with a very good reliability
record. The Lund dealer is up in Michigan. Or,..I could just get the boat and trailer from a Lund dealer here in Indiana(Tippecanoe Boat Co.),and go to a
Yamaha dealer to get the motor I want. Well,...so much for that "Buy American"thinking. Tippecanoe Boat Co. is not a "loose motor" dealer for
Yamaha even though he carries Yamaha mostly as package deals on his
Godfrey brand pontoons. If I can talk him into getting the motor from
another Yamaha dealer,I'll go that route. My boat,MY way,...and I am
going back to Yamaha for power. Why buy Mercury if it is going to have
an import made powerhead(Tohatsu,Yamaha,etc.)?

Thank you,and yes I will hang in their tight. Who is a manufacturer to say
what brand of motor we can install on their brand. Afterall, the customer is
the one buying the boat and he/she should have complete say as to the brand of motor they will run,...NOT the manufacturer or even the dealer.
Forget Mercury,...Yamaha all the way, brother! That powerhead on that
Mercury four stroke I WAS going to consider is probably a Yamaha power
head, anyway,if not Tohatsu. As I said,...it is Yamaha all the way!
