bob, yes i see guys fishing them in spring n summer. i have fished them for fun. they are too soft for me in warm waters. the res. is 245 acres, but there is loads of river after that. yes you can use a boat that size there. the hotels are in ft wayne (dupont and 69 is closest). you mite find a bed n breakfast around leo grabill if you search. ft wayne is only 15 miles away though.

Thanks for posting some great crappie photos. It reminds me of what I used to catch in the mid 70's all the time. Those would avg. 16" to 18" year after year. Keep up the good work and enjoy yourself.

Friday fishing
First of all let me and my buddies send out a BIG THANK YOU to River Scum for the hospitality and help on Friday. Temps in the mid 30's and overcast and we still brought 30 Nice crappies home. Tim met us on the river and made sure we were up to speed on his home waters. Way above the call of duty. Again Thank you, we had a ball. The biggest was 14".Stay in touch.Don
