    Default Monroe

I am working at Crane for next couple of weeks. Brought my boat no luck so far but a beautiful place. Hoping one of you hoosiers would help a bushwhacker from Missoura out. Not keeping any fish just looking to get out of the hotel and stay out of the local taverns. Send me a PM if you rather. Would be willing to meet after work and take someone out on my boat if that works better. I am fully loaded for spider rigging. Not looking for your honey hole coordinates. Basic areas depths etc. Thanks for having me in your area.

put in over at Cutright ramp and your choices are wide open, left under the bridge is main lake and right is 10mph zone no matter where you go

There were five of us in two boats that went on Saturday. We put in at Cutright and fished all over the slow side. Between us all we caught probably 125 in about 6 hours. Found more fish in 3-5 fow than we did deeper water. They are on humps and transition points. Lots of short fish and only about 15 keepers, but fun none the less. There are some nice fish at Monroe, just often got to fish thru the short fish to get at them.

Any chance you can fish Lake Greenwood on Crane, don't pass on it. Nice lake, long points with weed beds, cypress on north side, deeper water at west end by dam. East end where it shallows up used to have Lilly pads in bay areas with big red ears and blue gills. It's well stocked and even has walleye in it. Certain workers, military, and those with military I.D. can fish it with 1 friend with them.

We went to Monroe 11-6-16 and between a buddy and I, we caught around 80 Crappie, all under 8". We fished several docks and lay-downs and the bite was pretty consistent all day. It was fun but I would have really liked to catch some 10"-14" keepers.
