bad time to be going to geist with the 5 million other boats that will be wake boarding
Thinking about hitting Geist this weekend. I have only been to Geist a few times and that was prespawn. Anyone care to point me in the right direction? Not looking for any exact spots but just a general area where they can be found. like I said I don't know the lake that well only been there two or three times before

grab a map of the water and pick it apart.
how much is it too launch there this year/season/day..?
well I made the trip to geist last weekend and let me tell you I didn't have much luck finding the crappie. Caught plenty of stripers and perch... I was fishing in 12 to 20 fow. Marked fish but weren't the crappie I was hoping for... It kinda put me in the mindset of I have to go back again this weekend even with the 15 dollar launch fee. I tried deeper coves main lake and by the dam. Anyone been catching them at Geist?
Had a friend who fished out there Sunday and he reported the same thing - very slow.
Last Saturday plenty of perch and gills in the coves 10' to 15'. Lots of bites jigging. Hope the cooler weather brings them on. I live 10 mins away from there.
You were probably fishing below them. Buddy and I caught 60 on Sunday in 3-6' FOW. I talked with another friend and he reported of them moving up already also.
