Default Salamonie..what am I doing wrong

Went out and fished for crappie for a bit tonight. Was finding some very shallow, and some huge schools out over deeper water suspended. Had no problem catching fish, but all of them were dinks. Didn't matter if it was suspended fish over deeper water or shallow fish. I probably caught about 20, without trying really hard. Moved around a bit, different area's of the lake trying to find some bigger fish.

Anyone catching decent crappie there this year?

I caught a lot of dinks through the ice there this winter. Seems the last few years Sally has been full of them.

Good fish was caught all weekend in crappie usa tournament. Lots of fishing pressure. Most fish are post spawn in my opinion.

I considered fishing some suspended fish farther out closer to main channel, but it was thundering so I gave up.

The schools I found, were huge, could have sat on any of them and caught 100 easily enough, just kept moving around trying to find some bigger fish. As I was leaving, was seeing fish out over 20-30ft that were smaller schools of fish.

cant help with that res. sorry. could be full of dinks like said? has to be some toads in there somewhere though. maybe you should fish deeper shoreline wood cover. get rite in the core and jig. stumps on the channel edge can be big big fish spots too. kinda run and gun like bass fishing.

My wife and I experienced the same thing two weekends ago. We caught a few nice ones. We just had to sort them.
