Those are some hefty fish! I haven't caught that many 2 lbr's in my life, let alone a day. Congrats to you on a memorable day!
It's amazing what can change in a week's time, this time of year.
Went to Patoka last Wednesday and caught 121 crappie, kept 20 15 in. And over. Went back yesterday and the lake was up and stained compared to last week, fished hard all day and managed to catch 58 but no size to them all were dinks 10 inches and less. What a difference a week makes. Was fishing at walls area jigging minnows in 20 fow, 10 ft. Deep. They would not touch a jig of any kind...

Here lately, most of us that call Patoka our home lake would call twenty 15" crappie several years worth of keepers. You definitely found the hole and congrats on that. What you found yesterday was more the norm, except you were throwing back what people normally keep at 10" anymore at Patoka. Seems like the dink range is 5-8" all day long anymore, if you can even find them. Walls is a funny area, they can be everywhere or no where. About 5 years ago a buddy and myself caught dinks and nice crappie along with white bass out a hole with two stick ups right up from the ramp for a month and a half. You had to throw inside a 10' circle to get a bite, outside that circle they would not hit for nothing. All around that area they would not bite, it was something else.
That's the way it was last wed. The first two casts into an area caught the two big ones then it was all small ones after that moved to a different spot same thing the big ones bit first then nothing but little ones. This week back to the same ole Patoka, all dinks 6-10 inches no meat on them. Just hit it on the right day, never moved from a 50 yard circle. Some guy at the ramp wanted to look in the livewell and all in said was D A M N.The only pics I have is on a cellphone, don't know how to get them on this iPad...
