Default Fun Trip to Kentucky Lake

Just returned from 4 days fishing the Big Sandy area of Kentucky lake near Paris TN. We caught a lot of fish and got in on the early part of the spawn. Caught some nice fish spider rigging in about 9 foot of water and then they moved into the flooded buck brush on Monday and Tuesday. Here are a couple of nice 15 inchers and a mess that we cleaned.Name: two crappie.jpg

Good deal, its hard to come home after a good trip like that. I wish I were lucky enough, to have water like that to fish on a regular basis. Take me with you next time.

I love to fish down there, but have always done it in first week of June and have never had to deal with all the people fishing the crappie spawn and craziness that goes with it. Still get some nice crappies then and still some gills/redears on the bed, and green carp fishing is great. One of these days I am going to have to witness the spawn bite down there. Glad to see you got in a nice trip SpeckBuster. I'm further north than Locator, so stop by my house first !!

Yeah, you should probably pick up HHD, he has the real jigs. I think mine are knock offs I bought of some dude in a dark alley, he swore they came for HHD himself, but I think I've been had.

That's a nice mess of fish. We have had a ton of rain in mid MO. so I'm officially really jealous. That is a mess to be proud of for sure.
