Just called the park office.317) 327-7110 (Park Office)....the rule change was discussed and did NOT pass. the lake will still be a 10hp limit.
thats too bad thats the only thing that keeps me from going.
Has anyone heard of a rule change for Eagle creek, changing it from a 10hp limit, to a no wake lake?

The rich people on eagle know that a no wake means more boats and they are selfish about that lake. It's not because of bank erosion because most of the fisherman use larger motors with 9.9 stickers and run on plane making waves. It is a city park lake that is ran by the residents. Government at its finest
EC will turn into giest soon.
i just run.it's not a law it's a noised ordinace from the 70's. a marion cty sherriff is the only one that can give you a ticket for it.
Some people climb everest, others go fishin' with me
I do believe the eagle creek bait shop is oficially closed.

I fish there often and I have seen DNR hold people there many times waiting for the sherif to show up and write the ticket. Plus it just gives them a reason to find something else they can write you a ticket for. I watched a sherriff and DNR give a guy $550 worth of tickets last year for running his bass boat at about 40 mph across the lake.
