Default Cagles Mill Lake "the cat"

Does anyonone know what boat ramps are open, and if any of the courtesy docks are in? Im gonna make my first trip of the year soon, but I want as few supprises as possible. Also, any water temps or reports would be great.

    Thanks

You can go to the Army Corp. site and see the daily lake levels Louisville District Daily Lake Report

You shouldn't have any problem at Cat but don't expect to see the docks this early.

    Thanks,

The corps water levels are up to date, but the temp data is still from november.

Thanks for the help though, and let you know how it goes.

When do they usually put the plug in and let the "Cat" and the "Coon" fill up?

Cataract rarely drops more then a few feet in the winter. It stays pretty consistent until the rains start and then it starts its climb upward, and up, and up, and up!!!!! Good luck.

Both ramps were open this weekend, but there was heavy mud on them from the last bit of high water. I was told Cunot was practically unlaunchable, and the state park was only slightly better. Hopefully some of this rain today and later in the week will wash things off a bit. Doubt if the docks are in yet, though can't say for certain. Would be awefully early for that. Local water temps this weekend were running 39-40 degrees, but many were surface skimmed as late as Friday. Water was pretty stained, but I know of at least 1 limit of crappie that came off there recently.

Click on the lake level highlighted in blue and it shows dates and stuff. With any luck I will get to fish the cat this year. Just bought a old, cheap and little 16' FG fishin' boat. Now I got something to pull around and not catch fish at other places. Can't wait to check out the cat!!
I only fish The Coon cause that's where I keep my toon.
