    Default Sullivan Lake 5/24


    I went to Sullivan Lake last night, got into a nice mess of crappie. Nothing big, but still fun and ended up keeping 16. I thought I may have missed the spawn, but they were right up shallow by the rip rap.
    I had never been there before, it's a nice place. Great evening to be on the water, except the gnats tried to carry me away.
    I am new to the area (and the site). Good to find a nice place to fish, not too far from the house. I want to try out Raccoon and Mill Creek soon also.

    Yes Welcome to the forum. The people are GREAT and the information is always good. Do you live near the strip pits? if so Graveyard(lake) has a nice crappie population. Cant give ya my secret location on that lake but it has plenty

    I appreciate the tip Andy. I live on the south side of Terre Haute, but I do plan on getting down to Greene Sullivan soon! I have not made it down there yet this year. It is kind of overwhelming, trying to figure out what place to fish down there, this gives me a place to start.
