Thread: rough day

Had a rough day on Wed.Drove an hr.to the lake and somehow the trolling motor battery did'nt charge "trolling motor only lake" 30 mph winds-1 anchor.The lake sits down in a little hollow so the wind does'nt blow the same way for long,so I did the spin around in a circle thing.Wind was blowing too hard for a decent drift.Did manage to get 18 gills 10 in the 9-9-1/2" range then a few criers around 7" just to make the trip worth while.I think I'll look at the amp meter before I go next time.Nothin' worse than knowing your spinnin' around in circles and no one else to blame.Thought I was a man and left around 7;30am w/ shorts and a tank top.47 deg. and 30 mph winds I think my nipples are in the bottom of the boat somewhere,along w/ my toes,the sandals I had on did'nt do the trick.I guess fall is here and need to break out the warmer clothes.Trees are changing colors up here, so it's not far away.I'll be better prepared next outing.
