About a month away now....we will use my place as the hub. I have a private lake here that everyone is more than welcome to fish, but am also in the heart of lake country. The Warsaw lakes, Barbee Chain, Wawasee, Palastine, Dewart, Webster, and Tri-County are all within 20-30 minutes of my house. Sign in will be at 6am at my place.

Can't make it, but that's a good thing you do, chance for folks to hook up and meet each other. Ejoy.

We will be having a little fishing derby but involvement is voluntary. This will have bluegill/perch, crappie, gamefish(bass,walleye,pike,muskie), and a roughfish(catfish,carp,bowfin,etc.) categories. The cost will be $10 per angler and that will get them into every category and there will be a 100% payout. But this is optional. One thing that I ask is that everybody bring at least 1 canned good(more if ya can!), the canned goods will be donated to the HVAF(Homeless Veterans and Families) based out of Indianapolis. That is a great thing you are doing. I wish I lived close enough to make that trip. I hope you have a big turnout.

Thank you Earl. Vets have a place near and dear not only to my heart but all of us in these troubled times. Just trying to get a bunch of fishermen that share the same point of view. If I ever get down your way(which I do) I will look you up and do some fishin' "Southern style" lol My mama is from Tennessee. Check in will be at 6 am the morning of Sept. 5th at my place. There is no entry fee other than each angler should bring a canned good(more if ya can) to be donated to the HVAF(Homeless Veterans and Families). There will be a little "tournament" running. The cost of this will be $10 for each angler. This is purely optional and there will be a 100% payout. There will be three placings in each category and it will be determined by length of fish. Any ties in length will then be settled by weight. All Kociusko County waters are available to fish. I have a lake here that produces nice crappie and everyone is welcome to fish it. Check in will be back at my place at 7 pm. We will have a fish fry and the fixins. If you want to bring a dish to share it would be appreciated. I have 40 acres here so if anyone wants to camp they can do so. I also have two couches and a spare bed......first come first serve!!!! lol My shower and bathroom facilities are available for everyone to use. Anyone with campers I do have electricity available as well.

The categories will be as follows:

1 Bluegill,redear,perch

2 Crappie

3 Gamefish.....anything that has a length limit(LM Bass,Walleye,Pike, Muskie)

4 Roughfish(Catfish, carp, dogfish,garr etc.)


All Indiana Laws and Regulations apply

Anyone practicing catch and release should get a photo with the fish and a tape measure. Any ties will go to a fish brought to the "weigh in".

I know I have missed a few things. Geez, you would think I would have it down by now!!!! LOL
