    Just wondering at what speed should a person pull cranks ?

    i think most ppl pull anywhere from around 1.5-2.0 mph. I'd start somewhere in the middle and see what you like from there. also if you go to the mississippi state board on here, there's a tab at the top called cranking 101. just open and start reading. the amount of knowledge that is in there is unreal, and those guys know how to catch em.
