Been there done that had the wheel axle come out from underneath the trailer right at the entrance of the boat ramp.

I also met a good emergency welder in southern illinois about 25 years ago with my first boat trailer. The water was down at the ramp at Devil's Kitchen & both wheels dropped into a deep hole at the lower end of the ramp. Had to pull hard to get it loose. In doing so both wheel assembly/axle mount welds broke free from the trailer. What a mess. The trailer and boat were going down the road cockeyed...straight to the welding shop on a sunday morning. Got it fixed enough to make it legal. Fished a little and my wallet was considerably lighter. Not too long after that I bought a new trailer which has been a great investment. Sorry for your trouble. Hang in there.
