    Default Rend 10/14 10/15

Rain and wind has not slowed the fishing. It has made it harder to fish but not impossible. Had 67 yesterday and 75 today. All on jigs in 11-15 fow.

I never said you did catch them under the bridge. I know you being a professional fisherman. You wouldn't take a client under the bridge just because it was an easy place to get your limit and get home. I have seen a few guides fish under the bridges. One even came in one day like he owned the water under the bridge and got into a pretty good argument with some common fishermen. I was just glad my Grandson wasn't with me to witness such a display of poor sportsmanship.

I have seen plenty of the guides fishing under the bridges right off the bat in the mornings. The two in this post didn't this morning but have before. Not saying its a wrong its everybodies lake. Some guides crowd other boats under there which isn't a good thing. Don't think we have any professional fisherman at Rend Lake, there are some great fisherman but wouldn't call any of them PROS.

Willie, so have I. If you are getting paid to do something then I don't think you are an amateur. I call that a Professional if you are getting paid to do something, regardless of your ability. Just my opinion! I regularly use a guide because I have only fished out of a boat less than 3 years, hoping to shorten the learning curve. I have hired 4 different guides and believe me they are not all created equal. I am not saying any certain one is not capable of taking you fishing, but there is a difference in what they teach, where they fish, how they fish, and just personality differences.
My advice is fish with a few different guides until you find the right one for you. It is a Fun sport I am learning to enjoy, but like many things there is way too much competitiveness and BS involved. Let's all have Fun! If you see me on the lake, stop and visit! I will be glad to talk to you.

Ok boys. Before this gets out of hand like it has before.......I normally won't jump in this fast but when it comes to the Rend guide opinions it can turn south fast. Mean Green started this with a report and a picture of some good fish as he has many times in the past. Let's talk about the fishin and not about who is crowding who under the bridge. In other words. Knock it off. Rend 10/14 10/15
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
