    Default Expired watercraft registration

Conservation checked me leaving the ville today. i didn't realize the state doesnt send out renewal registration forms anymore. Needless to say mine had expired in June. So just sending out a reminder for you guys to check yours. by the way check your fish close on measurement i thought i had 9 overs and 5 unders. they said 10 and 4 go figure. didn't realize a fish could grow that fast in a livewell. hmm?

I sure hope the state guy gave u a break on that renewal registration. Yes they stopped last year sending out renewals for boats only as dept of con. so screwed up, plus they have tried using outside agency and then changed several times. They have been pretty good on time last few months but no renewal notices will be sent out. When u renew be sure to keep copy of all paper work including copy of check etc, keep this in plastic bag in boat in case u get stopped again they will honor the sent in application.

Did you get a ticket, or a warning?
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

I asked a game warden, when they initiated the 5 short rule, how he'd measure a 10 inch fish. I said in the past they'd push real hard to make him short, now they can push hard for short, or light to make him long. If you have 10 good overs, make sure your unders aren't close to 10 inches.

Yep, 3 weeks ago I just happened to look at my boat and I was expired in June also. On a good note tho, I applied for a new sticker online that night and was prepared to wait weeks and weeks for my new sticker but to my surprise it arrived in the mail in less than a week!

9 3/4, anything bigger isn't worth it is my rule. As for the overs has to have part of the tail over the 10 line for me...

If you get your new sticker online you can print out a receipt and it as good as a sticker until you get your new ones in the mail .

Also a victim of the expired registration. Was getting ready to go to Kentucky Lake last week and noticed that mine was expired. checked all my records and could not find a new registration or cancelled check. Finally got online and seen where the Dept. of Natural Resources no longer mails renewal notices and that it is my responsibility. Pretty good... They raised the cost and cut their service. Sure wouldn't of hurt them to mail a postcard to all watercraft owners informing them of the new policy. What a screwed up state we live in.
