    Default color of eggs

What color of eggs are people finding in females today?
And with that, I'll see you on the water...

Most of the fish I've cleaned so far have been males. The few females I have cleaned, most of them had egg sacs that were still fairly small, firm, bright yellow, with little blood around them. I did clean one 12 1/2" female that had dark orange, loose, large egg sac. These fish have come from Lou Yager and Glen Shoals. I would estimate that Lou was closer to spawn than Glen before all of this up and down weather hit.

There is a lot of fish on shelbyville right now that are spawning or will drop with the first warm set of days we have I believe. There is females you can squeeze eggs from and the overwhelming majoirty of the fish today were females.

LSG had some clients last year that kept all the eggs and fried them up, said they were delicious. I guess if you haven't tried it, don't knock it.

Hey Jerry, I fried some up earlier this year and they weren't that good but I think if I waited until right before spawn when the eggs was fuller that they would taste better. I'm going to try them again.
