    Anyone crappie fish on this lake? I heard several years ago that the crappie numbers were good but the overall size was small. Any reports would be appreciated!

    Fished there years ago, maybe 7 or 8, and caught nothin but 6 to 7 inch fish. I was staying up at a friends farm mushroom hunting, and had planned on frying fish for dinner so we kept enough of them to eat, but under any other circumstance they would have been let go. Good luck!

    I have an old friend who lives in Pittsfield and I have fished the lake numerous times over the last 30 years or so. I agree one hundred per cent with what Duckshewter said about the lake. My friend has taken a fourteen inch crappie or two out of there, but most of the times I have fished it we threw everything back due to the lack of size of the crappie.
