There is a BOWFISHING tourney at Rend this weekend. The shallows will be stirred up to a froth, both Friday night, prefishing and Sat. night from the tourney. So the crappie may be a bit skiddish this weekend.

Many years ago I use to stop Nason on my home from turkey hunting in the Shawnee to visit my goodfriend Don Hayes. He would borrow a boat from his brother and take me Crappie fishing out of there, maybe the Bluegill hole and the like, where we fished the bushes. God those were fun times.

You just have to search for the right bushes that are holding fish right now. When the water warms up a little bit more then it will be just about any bush you drop a minnow in. Oh and Greg you just have not been paying much attention. I have been there just not as much as I like to go but now I will be down there as much as I can until I have my surgery. Just waiting to schedual the surgery through the spring spawn. It will take 6 to 8 weeks to heal so if I do it now then I will miss the spring spawn.

Took my dad to rend yesterday and we fished the brush caught 2 limits and alot of throw backs.fished gun and jackie most we caught were in jackie branch. purple flake/char jigs worked best. will try to post some pics this evening.
