I don't know as I have killed a number if Coyotes while turkey hunting...including this guy!

From what I hear, hunting wild turkeys is more fun than eating them. They sure ain't no butterball. I be the old ticker gets agoing when that old tom gets near.

Jerry, nowadays I can't tell some days if its from excitement or anticipation, or its from moving my fat arse up and down ridges, ravines and across major stretches of land to just get close to them! I sound like pod of whales breaching the surface and gasping for air most times when I setup on one! I usually wait a couple of minutes to allow my breathing to resume semi-normal wheezing and my vision to return due to lack of oxygen. Its one thing to be camoed and blend in with your surroundings but even a turkey can tell the difference between a fat tree trunk with a black shotgun sticking out of it in their direction when said trunk is gasping for air...

Why you killing turkeys Thanksgiving is almost 9 months away.

My season starts friday morning in Fayette county but I may wait till Sunday to go . I hate sitting in a timber soaking wet . There is a lot of turkeys where I hunt but they stay way out of range . Last year I took a shot at one and dropped him at 42 yards . I would rather let them get a little closer but they were shy last year .

I sat in the blind this a.m. to stay out of the wind and rain. It was worth it.
