If your cousin is your friend, let him know the situation. There is no reason that your hunting trip to Iowa should have the stress that is brewing. After that cut him lose if you believe he is lying about the blackball on his lease. It's not about getting even its about what is fair and Iowa was and is your hunt.

My dad told me “if a man dies with two true friends, he has died a rich man”. I lost my very best friend a couple years ago. Over 40 years of being friends, we came to be family. We based our friendship on trust and being honest. We argued, for sure but never stayed mad. I can say I have a true friend. I am not sure that everyone will experience this in life. I wish they could.

Friend, You got screwed. Sorry, but it happens to us all in one way or another. If I were in that situation, and I have/am/will be, I would keep doing what I know to be right and ignore that sorry feller while doing it. It is your family that yall are huntin with. Don't go to them trying to tell them how he done you, just keep things right with you and your family and eventually they will see who is who in this little back stabbin.

Luvjigin, I don't know ya well, but if your ever in need you just holler, I'll jump as far as I can.

I appreciate that, Brian. We met at crappie camp here in Grenada (I was the hush-puppy cooker:D). In turn, I think from all the trying times you've been through lately, I think you're the one that deserves much contribution......whether it be moral, or in any fashion

Just have to grin and bare it till then. In fact, it may be starting already, I did get me a brand new baby boy here recent!

Only advice I can give is, don't hold grudges. Life is too short to carry that kind of weight around. I try to forgive people and go on with life. I practice this and am a happier man for it. The day always comes when someone you really don't particularly think highly of will ask you favors and at that time you look in the mirror. They may even consider you their best friend. What goes around comes around and I've had those so called best friends come crying on my shoulder when they were done the same way they done me. I try to be compassionate. But I gloat. I just go kill a couple more big bucks and leak the news. Life is only complicated if you make it so. Go kill some deer my friend and remember the folks that really matter are the ones that cook the meals and say "can I go, I wanna go". If you treat "them" with impatience maybe your getting showed a lesson. Good luck in life catch some fish kill some game and be the friend you expect others to be.
