    Default Problem with trail cam

My father in law has an Apeman H50 that was working, but now is not. We got the pics off the memory card and put it back in, but it won't boot up. When I connect with the usb cable the screen comes on briefly then goes to file transfer mode. It doesn't matter if I turn it to test mode (which is where you do setup and formatting of memory card) or in "on" mode. I have also tried a hard reset. Still nothing. Put new batteries in twice, no change. Any thoughts on this?

Sounds like it went belly up. Usually how it goes with trail cameras. One day they work the next they don't. I consider 4 to 5 years of use pretty good. If it's not old may reach out to customer service.

I agree with snubby. I quit buying the expensive ones. I’m using $30 Tasco cameras and they are working fine. I figure if they break or get stolen it’s not to bad of a loss.

Tasco works fine. Sometimes you can find them for $16!

we run cheap cams as well , under 50 bucks is cheap here and the more expensive stuff tends to not last any longer than the cheap ones ......same with batteries , the expensive ones ain't no better than dollar store cheap ones ....
some of my cameras start acting squirrely at times and if I take out the batteries and give about 10 seconds or so and reload them they come back around .
