No hogs yesterday afternoon.. I tried soured corn at our last property. I used post hole diggers and buried corn down to 2 ft deep. They did dig it up and eat it but hanging a bucket feeder from a oak limb worked really good there and I didn't have to have to deal with stinky corn..We lost that place 10 years ago.. Back to our current lease..I may have to sour up some corn and give it a go..Killing hogs at my stands was pretty easy at times till the loggers clear cut around and near them this spring and summer. I'm trying to make some adjustments but... Most movement seems to be at night right now. Acorns are still falling, once they are gone the corn will work better. My buddy head shoots a few each year with a 22 mag rifle. I prefer a 243 but used a AR in 450 Bushmaster and a AR in 6.5 Grendel for a couple years before getting the 350 legend AR put together last year. I put a 5.56 AR together last year but not for hunting. Since most of my shots are less than 25 yards I try for a head shot. Sometimes I have to shoot straight up the front leg, the 450 puts a bigger hole in them and they do not go far if they run. The 350 and 6.5 Grendel are nicer to walk around with since they weigh less than the 450. I may dust off my 243 and see if it brings me good luck again..
