he is for sure a tank with
big tusks and has attitude it seems in the videos and looks like a really tough character to me .
bet he can handle it when the lead flies , anything less than a spine or brain shot and he will be gone and have a really bad attitude for sure is my bet ....
money says you follow him into the brush after a pop shot and if he aint done, it will get really ugly quickly ....
it is no wonder to me they are related to bears for sure .....

Could have went Robert Baden-Powell on him. The founder of the Boys course was an avid Pig Sticker. Carried a spear and tormented the boar until it charged and impelled itself on the spear. Said taking a boar by any other method was down right unsporting.

he went down on the shot like a rock hit him in the head, got up like it didnt happen and saw him cross a field 400 yards away about 30 minutes later in what appeared to be unharmed condition.
not sure where my bullet hit him , but a 30 06 in the head at 50 yards will kill most animals even if it dont break the skull our spine . the concussive effects are devastating on impact , sure made me say ,,,,ok ,,,,maybe we let him go ,,,,,

Me neither. I spent a few hairy moments in a chest high palmetto thicket with a couple of hogs and dogs running in every direction. That was enough excitement for methere are them folks that get after them with knives and such , just not this fella .....

Baden-Powell established a bot scout campground just down the street a bit from me. Lots of hogs round there.
I was invited to go on a pig stick. Way too hot that day to go chasing hounds through the swamp. They had dogs and such to corner the hog in the bush and keep him occupied. I didn’t have a knife big enough, so I said no. They have very thick and dense shoulders that can withstand quite a stab. This because they fight and gouge at each other with them tusks.
I figured folks used air rifles to kill them. No idea people used 30-06 rifles. Must have been a glancing shot. Bet it left him with quite a headache.
Maybe they will bite this one……
