I scatter corn in the area in front of my blind every few days. Usually a 50 lb sack at a time and scatter well. They hit it pretty hard after acorns thin out.
I have always found putting out a long scattered line of corn was better than a feeder. But ya gotta have the time to maintain it.

To much natural food sources to feed deer . jmo .
I read a few labels on deer baits. Mostly salt, sugar and calcium.
Years ago I had a tree at the end of the garden at mom's house. I would pour out a 50 lbs of corn everytime I was there. 125 yards from the barn, I never saw a deer, but the corn would be gone by sunday morning. Stepdad cut the tree down and I bore 1/2 holes in the stump, started covering it with salt and sugar, sometimes molasses. 10 or 12 years later I could stand knee deep where the stump was.
