Don't know how many of you get wood ducks but if you're not saving the feathers maybe you could help. For Catskill flies we need Lemon barred wood duck flank feathers

I have went exactly 2 times this year and both times never fired a shot. By this time last year I was actually getting tired of shooting. Worst year that I've ever had in the past 10 years that I've been hunting them.

I will save you some woodduck feathers. We have a never ending supply of woodies in one of our holes. I will try to locate the feathers your are talking about, where on the body are they located? Never really paid attention, always just pulled out feather, cut out meat, and discarded.

This season sucked for a number of reasons. The main being weather, we never got the weather to keep the birds moving. the other is our lease sucked cause the farmer had excuse after excuse why the food was crap this year. Although his hole had some of the best looking corn in the whole bottoms. Had a real good early wood duck and teal season past fall.

I didn't even buy my stamp this year. I usually use the early squirrel season as a reason to get out and scout. I hunt mostly in a swampy area that is surrounded by fields. We never saw the numbers plus all the local birds left early. Then with us never getting the push from up north nothing happened, but now i keep seeing teal and mallards flying everywhere. No answers why just seeing birds at this time of year that i never saw before.

It's coming around to that time of year again. I'm new to this site and was curious if there are any Missouri duck hunters on here. I've been duck'n for years and recently lost our spot to strip miners. Looking for a good place for the 2012/2013 season.
