Default Wabbit season, No! Duck Season!

I've been missing going after slabs, but Harrison has bugged me to death about waterfowl hunting. Trying to be a passionate waterfowler in our neck of the woods is equal to trying to be a passionate Kentucky Football fan. Regardless, we decided to float the river to try our luck. Surrounding water wasn't locked up so hunting wasn't great, but we managed a few and had a good time doing it. In addition to shooting a few ducks we saw turkey, coyotes, beaver, tons of squirrels and a bunch of mile-or-mores. Hoping to try it again if we can get things to freeze.

Nice ducks, lots of good feathers for tying flys and jigs. If you get any wood ducks save all the lemon wood duck flank feathers you can, they're used for tying tradition Catskill dry fly wings.
