Never have shot a Hen - illegal in Kansas. I have seen 1 or 2 put down on error. I saw a hen put down this year, first time in a long time by the group of guys I hunt with. They ride you hard if you accidently shoot a hen. I have seen a couple people requested to leave and never come back due to poor hunting ethics or safety. We all meet at a friends house is western kansas - very similar to a guided hunt. These guys have been hunting together for 50 years - they put us on the birds every year. There was 30 hunter's this year.
Oh, I limited on Saturday. I did not shoot anything on Sunday. The group of 30 killed over 100 birds by Sunday at noon.
Must be a well organized hunt with that many guns. Congrats on the limit.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Yup, they run a pretty tight ship.
Had one kid 2 years ago that was not shooting safely. He was not there last year, then I heard this year that he was told to find another group to hunt with.
Safety talk every morning. Huddle / plan before every feild. We hunt the big 1-2 mile sections and push the whole section. We can hunt stuff that most can't.
It is a lot of fun every year.
I never heard of 30 guns hunting before...quite a sight, I am sure
Work 'em in and cut 'em down
