Congrats to you Richard and to your partner David both. We found fishing up there to be extremely tough, as did so many others. Wish I knew if it was our technique that was off, or our location. We fished Fishing Creek and White Oak Creek with only 3 keepers during the tourney, but after seeing what others in both divisions as a whole turned in, I didnt feel near as bad about our results. You guys really did well.....

With the water as clear as it was, we knew that we had to sit way back away from any type of structure and cast to it. During practice, we found a tree that had fallen off a rock bluff and got hung in 40 to 50 feet of water and the limbs stuck up to around 20 feet of water. When we found the tree with the side image unit, we could see a lot of fish hanging around the limbs. So we backed off, casted a jig to the wall, let it sink around 20 feet or so an caught a 1.5 pounder. That's when we decided that this is one spot we were going fish on tournament day. And it paid off. Out of the 14 fish we weighed for two days, 12 of them came from that spot.
