    New to this site. Interested in learning to troll. Experienced in bream fishing . How differant is this trolling technique ?

    Like goin to the moon Trolling is very technical especially speed (1/2 to 1 mph) and colors are different for regions in ga.... plus structure and depth and weights lots to learn but you have came to the right place to begin this lifelong education:D:D:D welcome to the board

    there are several variables to trolling....size jig heads/size line/length of line let out/...........best I can suggest is to hook up with someone who trolls well and ride along.......seeing it is better than talking about it.......I am learning too.....HunterofMooreCrappie's idea of using the small rubber band is probably the best idea I have heard to stay consistant, but you got to catch one 1st to make it work! Do a search on here about trolling and you will find a lot of info

    Hey Blind Hawg, you come on down to Lake Blackshear and I'll be glad to carry you out fishing and show ya the basics of trolling. These other guys on here are alot better than I am but I think I can help ya out a little.

    I also use a line counter Be at the slabfest or come to the Oconee slab masters. But going with rusty is the best... As the water warms up the fishing get's easier .....

    Anyone that wants to learn more about different techniques and or whatever about crappie fishing should definantly come to Slabfests and Slab Master weigh ins,there are hundreds of years of combined fishing knowledge available just waiting for the asking.

    There use to be an article on the main page called the art of trolling by Sam C. I tell everyone to read this article when they start trolling, its a great place to start along with the many trollers on this site.
