    Hey Guys and Ladies, Leaving for Santee Cooper tomorrow, Will be staying at the state park. Looing for shellcracker beds and hopefully still finding some crappie.     welcome to the great state of south carolina i used to make trips to santee to crappie fish years ago when i was into tournament fishing. dont go there much anymore and when i do its for the big catfish the lakes give up. good luck and good fishing..

    I sure miss fishing those lakes, I was Stationed at Myrtle Beach AFB back in 1987-1992. It sure was worth the 2.5 / 3 hr drive! rango you are correct....Cannot beat fighting a 30-50lb Blue catfish!!!!
