    Default Stripers

OK Oconee fishermen, where are the Stripers located? Me and ole TimR plan on going after a few Saturday.

If we catch a Crappie, so be it but Stripers pull your string better and taste much better cooked up right.

I will be pulling some umbrella rigs with good hooks.....

Danbo what is your recipe for cooking striper? And the hybrids are all over the flats next to the river channel.

Filet and make sure the dark meat is cut off. Brine filets with a Water/Salt/sugar solution for about 4 hours. Make sure they are covered with the brine. I then let them dry and season with Tony's and pepper, then smoke for 1-2 hours or until they flake. I also grill them and have fried them using Zatarain’s fish fry. I do fresh Mullet the same way.

Let you know how we do.
