Thanks for the report It is go to get tuff for fishing the next couple of days, talking 20s the week end
Jim and I fished yesterday from daylight until 2:15. The day started out bad when we let the trolling motor down and discovered it didn't have power. It's tough to diagnose a malfunctioning trolling motor in the dark. With some luck I found that a connector had come off the end of one of the cables. I pushed the cable back in the connector and fortunately it worked fine all day. After daylight, I turned on the live well pump and found that it had quit working. I had to use the cooler to fill the live well. Once we started fishing the trash fish seemed to love what we were doing. We had to leave them and find another spot to fish. Oh, did I mention the wind and the fog? I love to long line but it was a challenge yesterday. We did catch some fish but we had to work for them. The water temperature was 58 degrees. The best colors were white/chart, blue ice and acid rain. We finished the day with 20 good fish. Jim kept 13 for the skillet and we threw the rest back. We made it home without tearing anything else up.
