Default THE CRAPPIE TOOK MONDAY OFF!

For the first time in 2 months Jim and I fished Lake Oconee together. Jim took his son and grandson this past Friday and they kept 31 fish. This morning we started long lining and pushing jigs at mid lake at 7:30 a.m. The fish did not get the memo and took the day off. The bite was painfully slow all day and we quit at 3:30 with 25 fish. The average size was a little better than last week and the biggest fish were 12 inches. The water temperature ranged between 80-82 degrees. The heat wasn't bad today as there were a few clouds and a breeze. It was good to see Jody, Chad, Earl and Cuz on the water. Even though the fishing wasn't as easy as last week it was great to be on the water. It has been a long HOT summer.

Jay and Jim, It was great seeing yall this afternoon. The bite was tough for me and Cuz. They pulled so much water this afternoon Cuz had to climb out of the boat to get on the dock at Lick Creek.

That's how it was last Thursday. I put in at the Sugar Creek ramp and had to rappel off the dock to get into my boat!
