I've never been there but you can find some posts about it on this site. Just do a Tobosofkee search. Summer crappie can be tough to find and getting them to bite is another thing. The good thing is fall is fast approaching.
Looking for any help/advice on Lake tobosofkee. I have been fishing all summer...with not so good luck on crappies...went out today and only caught 2...1 in 10ft water 4 ft down...and the other in 25ft water 5ft down...
I can' seem to locate them like I did this winter there..can't seem to find them on my hummingbird either...ideas...been looking on brush piles in5 to 20ft water but can't seem to locate them..tried jigs/minnows..about everything

how are you fish drop shot or slow trolling long lining . this time of year long lining should be the best . a good way to cover more water . stay on channel ledges or brush piles . never fished that lake but if i went i would try long lining first . the bright summer sun they seam to disappear . better bight will be probably early or on a overcast day .
retired and now i will always fishandywhitaker611 LIKED above post

Find the bait and the fish wont be far away. I'd be looking 2/3rds way back in the creeks in the 15' range (give or take a few feet).
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
I've fished Tobo a time or two
Right now, I'd say the best way to catch them is dropping minnows over trees, check the mouth of coves near Claystone, and near the dam
