    Default CoPilot Help Needed

Recently bought a used Terrova that has AutoPilot and Universal sonar to replace my Maxxum. I wanted to add CoPilot so I ordered the remote from Amazon and the control board from Minn Kota. Hooked everything up with no problem but when I depress the "Learn" button the receiver does not emit the tone (no sound at all) as described in the instructions in order to program the remote. Contacted MK technical support and walked through everything with him with no luck. MK is sending a new control board but not too hopeful that the one I just received was the cause. I would really appreciate any input you guys may have regarding the issue. Thanks in advance......

I thought the Co-pilot attachment was put on top of the Terrova housing. Why would you need a control board for adding Co-pilot? I thought they all accepted the co-pilot, Auto pilot or not.

I have seen it that way too but on this motor the board mounts inside the existing right side cover.

My powerdrive has an attachment. I have a Terrova on my boat now with Ipilot so I didn't know. I will say if you're on a budget, co-pilot is good but you should've saved for the ipilot. Wash rinse repeat with the record a track feature. #1. And good luck to you!

You sure you have a Terrova or a power drive. Power drive goes on the side, Terrova goes on head.

I have both. Powerdrive had copilot. Terrova has ipilot.

Well......unless the side panels were swapped they clearly read Terrova on this motor. Thanks for the input........going to check with MK tech support again today and have them lookup the serial number to verify. Really wanted IPilot to start but could not pass up on the deal for this used motor so figured I could compromise with AutoPilot and just add the remote. The motor looks to be in excellent condition and seems to work fine with the foot control. Very frustrating so far.......thanks again.

If you look around a lil, you can find a ipilot for Terrova for $250 sometimes less. If you ever need help looking, let me know.

Just had MK confirm from the serial # that this is actually a Terrova with Autopilot, Universal Sonar 2 and 54 inch shaft and that the receiver (control board) I ordered from them does actually mount inside the original right side cover. Tech Support at MK thinks the first receiver was bad and that the new one they are shipping out should fix it. We shall see........thanks.

If it didn't beep then it's a control board issue. Are you sure it's getting power and all connections are together?
