You have the gear and a very nice rig. That puts you a leg up having the good gear. Now you just have to gain experience. Learn to pay attention to the water temp. That tells you where to fish. Welcome and good luck. Wes

Nice Rig Man. I've been dreaming about a fiberglass stick steer. welcome to CDC!! These guys are about the best group of Crappie fisherman you'll ever meet. If you can't get someone to answer your question on the forum then just send a PM and you'll usually get a pretty good response. I like you are new to Crappie fishing and have learned a lot and have met some really good guys on this forum. Good luck and I look forward to seeing you on the water!!

Welcome from SC. I just changed to a stick steer boat to make it easier for some of my gimpy friends to fish without fear of falling when climbing up and down on the raised decks of a bass boat. Mine is aluminum but I really like the fiberglass ones, just hard to find. I like not having to get up and down when moving from spot to spot as well.
This is a great group of guys and I think you will benefit from their knowledge. I know I have.

Thanks everyone for the responses! I can't wait to run up with y'all on the water. I will be on the water this Saturday or Sunday. By water I haven't decided between Sinclair, Oconee, or Blackshear. Worried about this front dropping the temp down.

The fish are so deep at Oconee right now....That shouldn't effect em too much....All this rain may for a day or two though! You gonna be pushing or long lining?

Probably longlining. Might try some pushing. Never done it before but have been reading up on it. Gonna have my 12 year old son in the back of the boat. Boat not big enough for both of us to be up front pushing
