Hotwater and KK it is great to see you guys hammering them. Your hybrid technique is paying dividends, looks like you got that longlinging clicking Hot didn't take you long to pick it up and come into your own! Enjoy a little while longer cause below 54 degrees wt you will be switching over to straight spider rods. Far as depth Crappie Maxx 4lb with 1/16oz jig with a 1/16oz Bull Shot placed 8 inches above the jig at 0.9mph will put you at 11.0-11.5ft with 50ft of line out.

Thanks Jonathan. You are right. When the water gets a little cooler I will switch back to the vertical presentation. Last December at this time the fish were still in the woods. On December 3, 2014 Jim and I kept 21 fish and on December 4, 2014 we kept 38. We went back a week later and caught 2. I am going to enjoy this while it lasts. If the weatherman is right it looks like we "may" have another week of great fishing. Yet you never know about those crappie.

Today is my last day of work until January 2nd. Hotwater you can run but you can't hide. I'll be on the water looking for that boat with the net sticking up.

I bet you know just where to look.

You won't see my net. I lay it across the boat so no one can see it and so Jim and I can trip over it. We look like the "Keystone Cops" out there.

I had a good look at that boat with the net sticking up. When I started to get closer to him, he took off. Hotwater, if we work together, we will track that rascal down.
