Thread: Night Fishing

I do a lot of night fishing at sin clair and oconee. Never had a problem with other boats but I keep a spot light handy. Have stopped a few boats running wide open in the timber. I have a 4'green florescent light and rope light running the length oF 1 side. My best advice would be SLOW DOWN! I have been close to hitting floating trees in the twin bridges area and had a good friend hit a Standing tree at oconee. I work night shift and have off days during the week. Also check the weather radar before you go. Most dangerous thing I've come across night fishing is a thunderstorm.

I use the green 24" my buddy has the 48" and I think it is to much light. I'm gonna get a 12" for a back up, I'm sure it would put out plenty of light as well, they are very bright

I love my LEDs. Flip of a switch and I'm in business.

I have to say that is one cool setup!

I don't have all the fancy lights that some people use, I use 2 submersible lights about 3 ft deep and two floating lights. THe floating lights I hang off the side of my boat to shine in the water and also help see my rod tips. It also helps other boats to see me. Works great at the hill. I may try them sat nite. Let me know if you are going to be on the hill sat nite and we can anchor side by side. THat usually works best.

They are the cree 50/50. They come in 16.4 ft strips. Got about $300 tied up in them. Got them wired to light up a 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, or all the boat at one time. The inside is on a different switch.

Now I have to say that is quite the set up. I just have the underwater light and cap light haha
