I would find a little town you like half way between Oconee and Clark's Hill (Strom Thurmond). You will have the best two crappie lakes in the state on either side of you.
I just got back to va after camping in your pretty state. The wife and I were checking out where we plan on moving next year. My question is which lake should I spend my retirement learning????? Looks like we will be close to Sinclair but Oconee looks great also. I can't wait till I get down that way and meeting some of you guys!!!!! Jim

The one and only "Crappie Whisperer"
Vexan Crappie Fishing Rods, Humminbird Fish Finders, Xpress H20PFC w/200 V-Max Sho, Minn Kota trolling motors.
Sinclair has lower property prices, generally. Both Oconee and Sinclair are good crappie lakes with some stripers in Oconee. Anything i missed crappie members?
Oconee has big crappie, and I have the cheapest lake lot for sale right now. In Jan - Mar the lot it is so close to the premier crappie fishing waters, that you can troll out to them with your electric motor. Many days I never turn my gas motor on!!! Oh wait,,,,I dont think I am suppose to say things like that on the forum. But it is all true
