I know in the Gulf waypoints are jealously guarded...some guys would let you sleep with thier wife instead of sharing waypoints. My Dad has a extensive collection that he will barely share with ME his own son...much less anyone else.

I know of some yankee fellas from the Atlanta area that paid alot of money for some waypoints to some grouper spots...and still couldn't catch any. Just because you have the waypoints doesn't mean you are going to catch fish.

That being said I wouldn't pay a cent for a waypoint...on most lakes structure and fish are easy to find if you put in the time and effort. Part of the fun in fishing is figuring out a lake and where the fish will be and biting day to day.

Well said dutch ... I wouldn't pay for no spot, like you said that's the fun part finding them. I guess in round about way I've probably sold a few good Jackson docks....but I always keep the best up my sleeve ...

Can't beat time spent on the water, I have not put my fishfinder on my boat all year. I go to spots I have fished for about 20 years and fish are there every year.
