Default Panfish near Moultrie end of May

I'm going to be picking up a lab pup from a breeder near Moultrie in the last week of May. Are there any small lakes in that area that would still have active shellcrackers or bluegills. Anybody know of any guides in that area who target panfish besides crappie?

The last week in May will be Bluegill heaven in Georgia. I do not know of any guides but every lake in Georgia will be hot then for the Gills. There is a State park near Moultrie that is good for Panfish. If you are going to stay in that area for a few days you may want to check out the Satilla River. Maybe a member has a farm pond. ??

Good luck. I will be at Lake George Florida that week and that is the Panfish capitol.

Paradise Public Fishing Area near Tifton

Reed Bingham State Park between Moultrie and Adel

Thousands of farm ponds if you can get permission....Several nice blackwater rivers loaded with redbreasts....For Shellcrackers and Bream....I would go with Paradise

It sure does! It just does not have many areas to multi pole fish. A lot of Bass tourney traffic! Seminole has the biggest shellcracker in Ga!

The Seminole crappie are hot now in the shallows! You pretty much guaranteed a limit if you work till you find them. Spring Creek is hot!
