Danbo is right. If you don't go earlier than you would normally think you will miss the real big ones. You will catch them but the 3 to 4 pounders always drop their eggs first. All I have been catching is the real big ones, but you won't get 100. I have been getting 20 t0 30 monsters until Monday afternoon when they where shut down.

Well...My bradford pears and dogwoods go at the same time.....that must be why I am confused.

When I fished Clarks Hill all the time I would have agreed with you though...Timing is a little different down here.

I should say that I agree with everyone because this year Crappie Fishing has been all over the place sometimes day by day or for that matter hour by hour and place by place. Everyone seems to think this or that is the place to be at this time while the other says no too early the other says no too late one says now, or just wait .....and the winner is YOU!!!!!!!Remember there is a fish down there doing this wandering why can't the fisherman make up his mind ..But I don't think it's the fish that are confusedI think it's the fisherman that are trying to confuse the fish
