    Default requesting tips on fishing Oconee early next week


    We will ne heading to sugar creek Monday and Tuesday, possibly Wednesday also..thinking all this rain didn't help my cause at all but these are the days I can go..any info/ strategy tips are much appreciated.....thanks in advance...

    Going to be honest it will be hard to get a good report for the next few weeks. There are two tournys up there the next few weeks.

    There may be a report or two that slips out. Don't know how much weight to put in those reports. Some one posted the other day that Granite Shoals was hot. May want to check over there. I know I will be checking it.

    All jokes aside, no really, all jokes aside let the water temps determine where and how you fish. If it ain't working, don't keep doing it more than an hour or two and then change up. All I will post about that. That is a huge lake and plenty of places they could be hanging out.

    Fish Blue/Black/Char tipped wid a minner and fish slow, very slow. Won't catch many but will be biggones. Check water temp here and go back in the creek where the water is about 5 feet and check water temp. Dem big ole mama's will be in da warmest water.

    If you're planning on fishing Richland arm....they've closed Granite Shoals marina.
