    Default Wounded Warrior

Went to Eufaula yesterday. Didn't have much luck fishing but was lucky to meet one of our many Wounded Disabled Military Hero's. Joe has Alabama regristration numbers on his aluminum boat (stick steer I believe) along with a crappie.com logo. If you should meet this very friendly young man who was wounded in Afgan... give him a salute and tell him thanks for serving our Country. Joe hails from Dothan AL and his wife stills serves our Country at Ft Benning. I hope and pray that Joe catches a limit ever time he fishes.

Amen to that! Us PGA professionals donate time to Wounded warrior programs for golf instruction to those that are impaired. I must say that I am always impressed with the determination and attitude of those soldiers! My buddy at High point quail Just did a Tower shoot at his place for these guys....Very rewarding and makes me feel thankful for these brave Americans!

Jigslinger, I think the idea of putting together a crappie fishing event would be a great idea. In November my Uncle Sgt. Neil Hagenow, who served with the 173rd Airborn, in vietnam passed away. He recived three Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. I never got to fish with him and would love to be part of an event to support and salute the wounded heros of our country. I've got an open seat in my boat.

I think this would be a very good time. And a great way to give back to those who have given up so much for us. Jigslinger and I will gladly make room in our boat anytime for a veteran.

I just wanted to make sure everyone knows that my fishing partner Cuz(Wayne Ard) has a Purple Heart from Vietnam. He never speaks of it but he is very proud to have served the USA.

I donate money to the Wounded Warrior project monthly. Its the least I can do to help out fellow veterans that were wounded.

22 years ago today I was sitting in the Desert watching the planes fly overhead to bomb targets in Iraq during the First Gulf War...wow, the years sure fly by.
