up river is always a good choice but don't disreguard the creeks on the south end of the lake. They don't get fished near as hard{for ********* but the water is also much clearer than the north end. Find docks with brush around them this time of year and they will be shallower in the water colum than docks without brush. Look for docks in the 15 to 30 foot range however the fish may be only in 8 to 10 feet down. You will have no problems finding docks to fish on lanier. Just look for the brush around them.

Like everybody said docks are good also look for lights near the water and some will have some limbs hanging out from beaver brush allways good places. There are not many on lanier but I find the older covered docks are good ones. I use 1/32 jighead and red/chart. Bass Pro Squirmin Squirts work well .The weather is great this time of the year good luck and welcome to Crappie.Com, lots of good people who don't mind helping out with info.
